Based on the influx of second-hand clothes from the west and Europe in Africa and considering the possible implication it has on our fashion and textile industries, A project was carried out in Badagry market, one of the biggest second-hand clothes markets in Lagos. In this market it is a common practice to find people shop these used clothes and hand them over to tailors who are readily available to mend, shape and transform where necessary for her client.

Going through this process, I acquired used clothes and engaged the market tailors in the process of tailoring and transforming these clothes into an art piece installed at different spaces within the market, thus generating interaction and discussion on the subject matter within the marketplace.
